Want to make a weekend of it and spend the night? They have a gorgeous refurbished log cabin to rent. Plus, plenty of great food and drink!
At Charleville Brewing Company & Winery, you can expect to enjoy handcrafted, homegrown wines and beers while also basking in breathtaking views overlooking Saline Creek Valley. The view is so stunning that it’s hard to really capture it in pictures (but we’ll try).
“We are really proud to be a part of this community and are excited to have the opportunity to keep Jack and Joel Russell’s (the previous owners) legacy going for many years to come,” said owner Eric Clements.
HIGH-TECH SERVICE
The four main reasons to visit this gorgeous establishment are the beer, the wine, the view, and their one-of-a- kind lodging.
First off, the beer! They make some amazing beer. And they have a high-tech way of serving it to you. It’s called an iPourIt wall. It’s an interactive, convenient way to get delicious beer in your glass, and you don’t even have to wait on a bartender to notice you.
How does the iPourIt wall work? You check in at the host stand, they check your ID and swipe a credit card to start a tab. Then link it to a wristband that you just tap against the logo on the beer you’d like, then pour. It’s super easy, quick, and convenient.
The iPourIt wall has 26 taps, four Charleville wines, two Charleville sodas, two Charle-Ritas, and 18 craft beers made in-house. They always have their four year-round beers on draft:
Half Wit Wheat Ale, Hoptimistic IPA, Strawberry Blonde Ale, and their Tornado Alley Amber Ale. Check out www. charlevillemo.com/beer for the current beer offerings.
Their wine list currently consists of four white wines: 2018 Chardonel, Chauvin, Genevieve Rivard, and an off-dry Chardonel. They are currently working on their newest wine vintages, which take time. So to provide a well- rounded enjoyable experience for guests, they have teamed up with Wild Sun Winery and Tavolo Vigneto Winery to offer more wines.
They currently offer eleven out-of- house wines including Barbera, pinot grigio, port, and Chianti. Their wine list has something for all wine drinkers.
UNIQUE ON-SITE LODGING AND VENUE
Adjacent to the beer and wine tasting
room is a beautifully refurbished 1820s
log cabin that serves as a two-room
lodge for guests. It can be reserved
through Airbnb or on the spot.
They modernized the cabin interior while still keeping as much of the original elements of the 1820s cabin as possible. This cabin now offers a kitchen, half bath, and living room on the main floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, connected by a spiral staircase. The layout allows two sets of guests to stay at the same time, while sharing the restroom and living space.
In addition to the brewery, winery tasting room, and on-site Airbnb cabin, they have built a brand new, stunning, wedding venue called The View at Charleville. This large space was created to highlight the breathtaking landscape that Missouri Winery Country has to offer. It is available for any and all events. Visit their website for more information.
And if you’re looking for mass quantities of beer, seltzers, or ready-to- serve cocktails for a special occasion or for your business, they do contract brewing for other breweries, restaurants, and wineries on-site. They have a top- notch facility where they can make ready to serve cocktails, seltzers, and beer. They are willing and able to make large quantities at any time.
PLENTY TO DO
If you need an excuse to make the trip to Charleville Brewery & Winery, they have a great events lineup. The last Tuesday of the first and third quarters of each year, they have a tasting of their brand new catering menu. For the second and fourth quarter, they have a tasting of the remainder of their menu.
