The original Augusta Brewing Company was opened in 1889 at 13th and Fenwick streets in downtown Augusta and was Georgia's first brewery. Its first beer, Belle of Georgia, was an instant success. The brewery's product line grew rapidly in a market with few - if any - regional competitors.
